This post is about 2 weeks late. A couple weekends ago was Jeremy's birthday, and his former boss from Las Vegas invited us out for the weekend to celebrate. We had such a nice time, the drive was short and sweet, and the weather was surprisingly pleasant and warm. It was nice having a change of scenery from the gloomy weather we've been having lately in Huntington Beach. We floated around in their pool, ate really good food, hung out with Roxanne while she prepared her usual delicious gourmet food. And we had a lovely steak dinner and yummy chocolate bundt cake to top of the day. Brandon (Jeremy's brother) and Brittany (his wife) were also coincidentally in Vegas the same weekend so we were able to hang out with them quite a bit. They are moving to Vegas in month and found their new apartment. We are really excited that they are moving there and are now even closer to HB. We had such a nice weekend, and are grateful to our good friends Wade and Roxanne for their superb hospitality!!
While Jeremy was in China about a year ago, he got this design that a woman cut out of one piece of paper in Bei Jing. He's held on to it rolled up for a long time, so I surprised and picked out a frame and matting to display it. It is such a cool piece of art. It's special to Jeremy because it is a dragon, and he is the year of the Dragon. I still can't believe someone was able to cut it out like you would a snowflake with such intricate detail in less than 5 minutes!! that's talent!!
