October Fun

I carved my first real pumpkin this past weekend at the Haight's Annual Pumpkin Party. I carved this pumpkin in honor of Jeremy -b/c he was camping at Big Bear (see pics below), and this is usually his type of activity. he is definitely the patient one in our family. i almost gave up a few times.  but really glad i finished.

I finished mine just in time for the big showdown, when everyone was taking pics of all the pumpkins lined up.

the big show stopper was definitely the Haight's E.T. phone home pumpkin:

Just the girls chillen:
Happy Halloween!!

And here are some pics Jeremy took at Big Bear (jeepin with the Shelby's)

Boys will be boys

I was looking back at some pictures i took over the summer, and thought they looked kind of "Spooky" - so i thought i'd post them.
our neighbors, the Jensens, have a protector and huge canvas that they hang up in the courtyard area during the summer and watch movies with a group of people from our apartment complex. well one of the nights, they thought it would be an excellent idea to put the xbox 360 on the humongo screen. boys will be boys. meanwhile i experimented with a tripod and was able to get great lighting and did not even use the flash. but the movement with slow shutter speed to capture the natural moon/xbox light turned out a bit spooky and jeremy is completely see-through here.

the "big screen" - with our little apartment in the background.
"Victory--time limit reached"
p.s. in case you can't tell, jeremy loves his calling in young mens.
