Jeremy's sister was in town with her family, and we had them over for brunch Saturday morning. I forgot how fun brunch is! I want to do it more often. We made a Curfew family favorite--Breakfast casserole, and I tried to make a orange glaze biscuit thing that my lil sis Sarah use to make when rooming together at BYU, but it didn't turn out so great since I was trying to make it up from memory of 9 years ago. There are some other brunch recipes that I want to try in PW's new cookbook next time around.
Saturday was beautiful. Perfect spring day, and the tree in front of our house just started blooming this week.
I of course wanted to snap a few pics of the cousins. These are the 3 youngest Curfew cousins!
Pearce LOVED holding her baby cousin, Scarlett.
These pictures crack me up, since Pearce doesn't have much practice holding babies. She didn't want to let go, even when Scarlett was trying her best to slip away, Pearce just wouldn't let go!

Scott, Jenny and Scarlett
It feels so good to chill outside when the sun is out, meanwhile it snowed/rained all day yesterday. But it's the coziest feeling while watching conference in my opinion.
Sterling and Pearce -- two little cousin buddies.
Saturday night I thought it'd be fun to do a "mommy-daughter date" while Jeremy was at Priesthood session. I was thinking IN-N-Out, so I asked Pearce if she wanted to get a hamburger with mommy, and she said "PEANUTS!!!" She remembers the silliest things; and associates hamburgers with peanuts because we've been to 5 guys a couple times. So, 5 guys it was!
This weekend we also started potty-training. Kinda. I don't really know what I'm doing. Time to call my sisters, I guess. There are TWO things I DO know though...
1) It takes like an hour to change a diaper these days. (Running away, squirming, physically not still enough to change a diaper, I run out of energy fighting it, so hence an hour goes by until I'm like- ok, the diaper needs to be changed!!)
and 2) the girl LOVES LOVES LOVES jelly-beans.
So we are going the bribing route first and she's wearing "pull-ups" --aka "big girl undies".

okay, whoopsie i just commented signed in under someone else's names. and it double posted. sorry!
i don't even remember everything i said and i forgot to copy and paste it before i deleted it. :( clearly it was nothing earth-shattering or all that important. hahahaha. cute little pearcie pie is all grown up!
Fun that you got to visit with some family and Pearce got to see her cousins! You made me so hungry mentioning Five Guys Burgers....yum!!! Good luck with the potty training; I hate it. Really, really hate it. Bribing is always a great idea. I need to put my little candy jar by the potty and start trying with Livi. Crossing my fingers she's easier than Orion.
i HATE potty-training!!! it sounds like pearce is ready and willing though, so that's always the best way to start. we've always gone the bribery route ourselves -- nothing like a little treat for an incentive to go potty, right? hahaha.
we had friends over for a conference morning breakfast yesterday and it was a lot of fun. unfortunately, i'm the only one in our family who likes orange rolls and therefore i ate like 5 of them (or maybe 6 or 7 or 8. i'm not sure because i kind of lost track...) hahaha.
going to a restaurant and eating peanuts is a FOREIGN concept in this family. hahahahahhaha.
I LOVE the pictures! So cute of all the cousins together!! They're so sweet and natural - you captured the moment!
Good luck with potty training. I guess maybe P will have to deal with a few wet moments before she decides it's worth it...and a few jelly beans! hahaha Fingers crossed for no more diaper struggles!
