Hide & Seek

A typical post-nap afternoon includes crazy crankiness and serious meltdowns. And that is how Pearce's Lion King obsession began. When she'd wake from her nap, the crying would begin and wouldn't really stop, and the only thing that would settle her down was TV or a movie. At this point, it's done. There's no going back. It's what we do post-nap.

Well...MOST of the time. Other times, she seriously surprises me with the most pleasant and charming welcome when I get her from her crib. And the other day she was smiling and giggling and saying "I wanna hide and seek". (Funny, because I've never played this with her before.) So I got her out of her crib, and the first place she wanted to hide was behind my back. Like literally behind my back, leaned up against me. She thought it was hilarious, and of course I did, too. All I'd do is turn my head and she would get "frightened" then run away to hide in another place. But would return behind my back for every other "hiding". Funny girl--the second hiding spot was underneath the corner of the rug! Then under her bed. She can be so silly. Love this little sweetie pie of mine. Sure does make up for all the times she's a big stink!

Today as you know, Jeremy had his MRI. Pretty much the most expensive 20 minute nap he'll (hopefully) ever have! We'll find out the results tomorrow after the docs look it over. Thank you all for your well wishes. :)
