bilirubin levels are down!!!

Little Boy Blue is finally in the clear. :-)

After being under the lights all day for a several days, his levels dropped down to a 6.8 yesterday (amazingly low. absolutely a blessing.)

So doc said we could stop the light treatment and go back one more time today for blood test, and just got back results and it dropped even more!!! (without light treatment, yall!!) So that means his little body (liver) is doing it's job on its own now.

I already scheduled for the bili suitcase to be picked up and outa here!!

I feel HAPPY, relieved, grateful, blessed.

I've been wanting to take some simple "newborn photos" of the little guy ever since he was born, so that I can always remember him at this age. This time around I just want to savor these first few newborn days EVEN more, because I know now how fast it all goes. I LOVE how tiny he is. I love how SWEET & CALM he is. I LOVE how "serious" he is all the time. Lots of scowls. I love his skinny LONG fingers and toes. OH... and HOW I love when he smiles at me when I rub his cheek and tell him sweet little things.

Well, between being stuck in a light bed, and going to the lab almost everyday, haven't had a chance yet to take photos. So it's top on the priority for tomorrow if there is sunshine like there is today. But in the meantime, I took some photos from my phone this morning that show a little more of his personality. :-)
